General description

Salicylic Acid belongs to a group of phenols found in plants that are characterized by having an aromatic ring with a hydroxyl group or its derivative. Rice, crabgrass, green foxtail, barley, and soybean are some agriculturally important species of plants that show the presence of salicylic acid. It is proposed to act as a signal transducer or messenger during conditions of environmental stress in plants, thereby aiding the plant in acquiring multiple stress tolerance. It is also used in combination with benzoyl peroxide in the treatment of acne vulgaris.[1][2][3]

Application

Salicylic Acid Impurity Mixture solution may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by chromatography techniques.
These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.
