General description
A Certified Reference Material suitable as an internal standard for quantification of DMAA levels in a variety of testing applications from clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, and forensic analysis to sports testing and analysis of DMAA-based dietary supplements. Also known as dimethylamylamine, DMAA is a stimulant sold as a dietary supplement under trade names including Geranamine and Floradrene. Since late 2009 DMAA has emerged as a club/designer drug in party pills and bath salt blends. Many professional and amateur sports bodies, such as the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), have banned methylhexanamine as a performance-enhancing substance.
