Biochem/physiol Actions

Polyethylene glycol (PEG)-lipid conjugates are used extensively to improve circulation times for liposome encapsulated drugs.[2] It promotes sustained injectable delivery system for insulin[3] and superoxide dismutase.[4] Cationic liposomes incorporating PEG-lipid is useful as carriers for oligonucleotides resulting in enhanced uptake by cells.[5]
