General description

C8 PEG2000 Ceramide, also called as N-octanoyl-sphingosine-1-{succinyl[methoxy(polyethylene glycol)2000]}, is a polyethylene glycol (PEG)-ylated ceramide. Ceramide-PEGylated lipoplexes are more effective than 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (DSPE)-PEGylated lipoplexes in delivering siRNA to targeted sites.[1]

Application

C8 PEG2000 Ceramide, or N-octanoyl-sphingosine-1-{succinyl[methoxy(polyethylene glycol)2000]} may be used in preparation of PEGylated lipoplexes.[1]
