General description

16:0 PEG2000 PE, also called as 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[methoxy(polyethylene glycol)-2000] (DPPEmPEG2000), is a polyethylene glycol (PEG)-modified lipid. Insertion of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-modified lipid to lipid- bilayer helps in formation of sterically stabilized liposome (SSL), which have an ability to spontaneously deliver drug to targeted cells.[1]

Application

16:0 PEG2000 PE, or 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-[methoxy(polyethylene glycol)-2000] has been to reduce the adhesion strength between the membrane and the glass during adhesion of cytoskeletal vesicles under hypertonic osmotic stress.[2]
