General description

SLC5111312 is a selective inhibitor of mouse sphingosine kinase 2 (SphK2). It also inhibits rat and human sphingosine kinase type 1 and type 2 (SphK1/2).[1][2] It is made up of pedant 1-guanidino-2-phenyloxadiazolylpyrrolidine group.[2]

Biochem/physiol Actions

SLC5111312 increases the blood sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) levels in mice due to the inhibition of sphingosine kinase type 2 (SphK2).[1][2]
