General description
Lithocholate-based Facial Amphiphile-C4 (LFA-C4) is a facial detergent. It is water soluble upto 2.5%. LFA-C4 is more efficacious in stabilization of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) than lauryl maltose neopentyl glycol (LMNG). It is also more effective in receptor stability than n-dodecyl-β-d-maltoside (DDM) and lithocholate-based bola-amphiphile-C0 (LBA-C0) for leucine transporter (LeuT) and bacteriorhodopsin (Br).[1]
