Phosphatidylinositol 5‐phosphate (PI5P) is a mono-phosphoinositide. It is found in the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus and the plasma membrane.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Phosphatidylinositol 5‐phosphate (PI5P) is a signaling molecule involved in several cell signaling pathways in epithelial cells. It is involved in T-cell signaling. It is also involved in positive regulation of autophagy.
