General description

Concentration: 2 mg/ml doxorubicin HCl at pH 6.5-6.8, in 10 mM histidine buffer, with 10% w/v sucrose.Particle size and shape: Dox-NP mean particle size is 80 to 90 nm, with very small poly-dispersity valuePurity: >=90% of the drug is encapsulated in the long-circulating, pegylated, liposomes.Formulation: The long-circulating, pegylated, liposomal carrier is composed of N-(carbonyl-ethoxypolyethylene glycol 2000)-1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine sodium salt (MPEG-DSPE), 3.19 mg/ml; fully hydrogenated soy phosphatidylcholine (HSPC), 9.58 mg/ml; cholesterol, 3.19 mg/ml, ammonium sulfate, approximately 2 mg/ml; histidine as a buffer; hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide for pH control; and sucrose to maintain isotonicity. Dox-NP is provided as a sterile, translucent, red liposomal dispersion in single-use, 2 ml or 5 ml vials.Buffer: 10 mM histidine buffer, pH 6.5-6.8, with 10% w/v sucrose.

Application

Intravenous (i.v.) injection in flank or orthotopic animal models of cancer.
