m-dPEG36-OH is a chemical modification reagent. It consists of a methyl-terminated, water-soluble, non-immunogenic, single molecular weight, discrete polyethylene glycol (dPEG) chain. The dPEG chain is 109 atoms (130.1 Å) long and terminates with a reactive hydroxy group. The hydroxy group can be functionalized with different groups that enable various types of reactions. Uses for this monodisperse equivalent of an m-PEG1500-OH include surface passivation and biomolecule modification.

Multicomponent poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) brushes (i.e., ≥ 2 adjacent PEG brushes) can be used to engineer culture substrates with microscale, nonfouling regions decorated with covalently immobilized ligands that mediate biospecific interactions. However, synthesizing such brushes with orthogonal immobilization chemistries to
Self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of oligo(ethylene glycol) (OEG)-tethered molecules on gold are important for various biorelevant applications ranging from biomaterials to bioanalytical devices, where surface resistance to nonspecific protein adsorption is needed.
