The m-dPEG^®₁₂-propionaldehyde consists of a methoxy-terminated, single molecular weight dPEG^® molecule functionalized with a propionaldehyde group. The propionaldehyde moiety can be conjugated stably to amines, hydroxylamines, hydrazines, hydrazides, and other groups. The single molecular weight, hydrophilic, non-immunogenic m-dPEG^® molecules improve water solubility, increase hydrodynamic volume, and decrease immunogenicity of target molecules.
