Application

Reactant for intramolecular cycloaddition reactions
Tetraethylammonium (meta)periodate can be used as an oxidant in the N-dealkylation of tertiary amines using Fe(III) complex as a catalyst.[1] It can also be employed as a reagent in the intramolecular cycloaddition reactions.[2]
