Amount of NH groups: In order to estimate the amount of NH groups in rGO-NH, a reaction with 4-bromobenzyl chloride was performed and the Br amount was quantified by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. The value obtained corresponds to 0.13 mmol/g.

Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has been used as a support for piperazine to provide a heterogeneous bifunctional organocatalyst (rGO-NH) that is able to efficiently promote vintage organic transformations such as Knoevenagel, Michael and aldol reactions. The obtained results suggest a
Since its discovery little more than a decade ago,1 the two-dimensional (2D) allotrope of carbon—graphene—has been the subject of intense multidisciplinary research efforts.
Graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) are quasi-one-dimensional narrow strips of graphene comprised of sp2-hybridized carbon atoms arranged into hexagonal honeycomb lattice configurations.
