Questions

1–3 of 3 Questions
  1. I would like to know approximately how many moles of carboxylic groups are present per gram of GO, as well as the size of the GO sheets. Could you also specify the type of synthesis method used for fabricating this kind of GO?

    1 answer
    1. Unfortunately, none of the requested information is available. Neither the moles of carboxylic acid groups per gram nor the particle size is determined as part of the Quality Control testing for this product. The information on the method of preparation is held as proprietary.

  2. Are the graphene oxide sheets monolayer or multilayer?

    1 answer
    1. This product contains multilayer graphene oxide sheets.

  3. I was wondering can this product suitable for the conjugation with aptamers to construct the fluorescent sensor. The aptamer is modified by amine groups, which could be covalently absorbed with the carboxyl GO.

    1 answer
    1. Yes, the functional groups of the carboxylic acid-enriched graphene oxide could be coupled to the primary amino groups of the aptamer using a water-soluble carbodiimide coupling reagent such as 1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide hydrochloride (commonly called EDAC or EDC). This would form a strong amide linkage between the GO and the aptamer.
