General description

Dendrimers and dendrons are symmetrically branched polymer structures that possess a well-defined spatial distribution of functional groups.[1] Dendrimers are chemically modified by attaching poly ethylene glycol (PEG) to increase its solubility and prolong circulation half-life.[2] “Clickable groups”, such as primary acetylenes, can be introduced to the mono dispersed dendritic structures, using click chemistry.[1][3] [4]

Application

Used as an efficient drug delivery system.[1]
