Application

Zinc Fluoride has been shown to aid in hydrogen release from NaBH4[1] and as a component in the synthesis of fluorescent glasses and ceramics[2][3]. ZnF2 is also used as a source of zinc in oxygen sensitive applications, and can be used as reagent for producing thin films of Zn metal and ZnO.
