General description

Cobalt monoantimonide (CoSb) is a class of electrode material that can be used in the fabrication of lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries consist of anode, cathode, and electrolyte with a charge-discharge cycle. These materials enable the formation of greener and sustainable batteries for electrical energy storage.[1][2][3]
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

application

Skutterudites such as Cobalt antimonides are widely studied as a promising thermoelectric (TE) material for high-temperature applications. The thermoelectric power of the cobalt antimonides can be further improved by suitable doping or by filling the interstitial voids with guest atoms and also by nanostructuring.
In recent years CoSb is also used as electrode material for lithium ion batteries.
