General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.
Zinc monoantimonide (ZnSb) is a p-type high-performance thermoelectric (TE) material, which is of interest because of its low cost, relatively large abundance, low toxicity, and low thermal conductivity.[1][2][3]

Application

ZnSb is an intermetallic compoiund and an electron poor (II-V) semiconductor with interesting thermoelectric properties. Its efficiency can be improved by the reduction of the thermal conductivity through nanostructuring and also doping with different elements like Pb; Sb etc.
In recent years ZnSb is also used as anode material for lithium ion batteries.
