General description

Basolite®C 300 is a metal organic framework (MOF). It is a crystallized hybrid porous solid built up from inorganic subunits, which are connected to organic linkers such as carboxylates or phosphonates. It is a commercialized sorbent that has the structure of HKUST-1.
HKUST-1 is also known as MOF-199, Cu-BTC and Basolite(TM) C300. HKUST-1 is a blue cubic crystal of copper based ultramicroporous metal framework (MOF). It is prepared by solvothermal method. It could have a surface area of nearly 2200 m2/g2.
