(2R,4R)-(+)-4,5-Dihydro-4-isopropyl-2-(p-tolyl)-1,2λ4,3-oxathiazole 2-oxide can be used as a precursor for the preparation of alkyl- and 2 alkenyl sulfoximines by reacting with corresponding Grignard reagents. These sulfoximines may also be used as asymmetric d3 building blocks.
