General description

Poly{[2-[2′,5′-bis(2″-ethylhexyloxy)phenyl]-1,4-phenylenevinylene]-co-[2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene]} ((BEHP-PPV)-co-(MEH-PPV)) is a poly(phenylenevinylene) derivate that is highly resistant to photo degradation. It has a high solubility in solvents like chloroform, THF and xylene.[1]

Application

((BEHP-PPV)-co-(MEH-PPV)) is a conjugating polymer that can be used as an active layer in the fabrication of a variety of organic semiconducting devices such as light emitting diodes (LEDs), photovoltaic cells, and photonic crystal lasers.[1][2][3]
Light emitting polymer.

Features and Benefits

More stable to photooxidation than other substituted PPV derivatives.
