General description

2-Amino-6-bromopurine is a 2-amino-6-halogenopurine. It can be synthesized by reaction between 2-amino-6-chloropurine and KX (X=Br).[1] It has been reported to be a substrate for the adenine deaminase.[2] Orientations of 2-amino-6-bromopurine (ABPu) in the docking conformations of guanine riboswitch complexed with ABPu have been analyzed.[3]
