General description

1,1,2-Trichloroethane (1,1,2-TCA), a chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbon, is a common groundwater pollutant.[1] Microbial detoxification of 1,1,2-TCA has been studied.[1] Ni supported on mesoporous silica (SBA-16) catalyzed hydrodechlorination of 1,1,2-trichloroethane has been reported.[2] Rotational isomers of 1,1,2-trichloroethane in the gaseous and liquid states have been investigated by the infrared absorption spectra.[3]

Application

  • Advanced Material Development: Research into the synthesis of UiO-66 3D photonic crystals highlights the use of 1,1,2-Trichloroethane in the creation of new materials for efficient vapor detection, supporting advancements in sensor technology (Wang et al., 2022).

1,1,2-trichloroethane (1,1,2-TCA) has become a common groundwater pollutant due to historically extensive utilization, improper disposal, as well as from incomplete dechlorination of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane. Currently, limited information is available on microbial detoxification of 1,1,2-TCA. Desulfitobacterium sp. strain PR, which was isolated

This paper presents the results from a well-defined, circular-shaped, multicomponent dense nonaqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) pool dissolution experiment conducted in a three-dimensional, bench scale model aquifer. The multicomponent pool is a mixture of tetrachloroethylene (PCE) and 1,1,2-trichloroethane (1,1,2-TCA); PCE was

The UV-Vis spectra of series of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) copolymers with attached trans-azobenzene derivatives were measured in 1,1,2-trichloroethane. In order to gain some insight into the recorded spectra, the quantum chemical calculations were performed for the substituted azobenzenes using both configuration
