  • To prepare coupling agent 3-iodopropyltrichlorosilane (3-IC3H6SiCl3), which is employed for the preparation of self-assembled nonlinear optically (NLO) active chromophoric multilayers.[1]
  • As a reagent for the surface modification of silica nanofiber films and silica particles.[2][3]
