General description

Fullerene-C₆₀ (C₆₀, 99.5%) belongs to the class of carbonaceous materials. It is approximately 0.7 nm in diameter. It is a hollow, icosahedrally-shaped, closed-cage structure consisting of 60 sp² hybridized carbon atoms which can be utilized for the preparation of novel carbon nanomaterials.[1][2]
