Application

(1R,2R)-(−)-2-Amino-1-phenyl-1,3-propanediol can be used as a starting material to prepare:
  • Diaryl sulfides, used to synthesize sulfimides and N-tosylsulfimides, applicable as chiral ligands.[1]
  • (S,S)-Reboxetine, a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NRI).[2]
  • L-2-Mercaptosuccinic acid, used in the synthesis of polyester with mercapto group.[3]
