General description

Millipore′s MicropreSure® Monitor is used for sampling and filtration of liquids within a closed system, minimizing the risk of a false-positive result from adventitious contamination while sampling in a production environment. Large volumes can be filtered at once or slowly over an extended period. It is designed for use with pressurized process lines or reservoir sampling. The MicropreSure® device handles pressure up to 3 bar. Liquid samples are filtered through the microporous membrane within the MicropreSure® device, and after filtration, the device′s inlets and outlets are sealed for transportation back to the lab without risk of contamination. It can be directly incubated by adding broth media for microbial enumeration. The membrane is made of black gridded, 47mm diameter mixed cellulose esters (MCE) with 0.45 μm pore size.

Application

Millipore′s MicropreSure® Monitor is used for bioburden and water analysis by the filtration method. It is a Ready-to-use sampling and culturing device for in-process testing of bottled water, wine, beer, and soft drinks.

Features and Benefits

  • Closed design for accurate sampling
  • Fast and reliable in-process collection and microbiological analysis
  • Tests larger volumes
  • Batch or continuous sampling
  • No assembly or sterilization needed
