Gene Information

human ... CHD4(1108)

General description

CHD-4, often referred to as Mi2-beta, is a central component of the nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylase (NuRD) repressor complex. CHD-4 has been shown to interact with TRIM27, HDAC1, Histone deacetylase 2, MTA2, SATB1 and Ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3 related. This protein also interacts with KLF1. Sumoylation of KLF1 leads to transcriptional repression of CHD-4.

Immunogen

Linear peptide corresponding to human CHD-4.

Application

Detect Chd4 (Chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 4) using this mouse monoclonal antibody, Anti-CHD-4 Antibody, clone 3F2/4 validated for use in western blotting, IHC & Immunofluorescence.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected CHD-4 in human breast carcinoma and skin tissues.

Chromatin Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected CHD-4 in mouse embryonic endothelial cells.

Regulation of chromatin states is essential for proper temporal and spatial gene expression. Chromatin states are modulated by remodeling complexes composed of components that have enzymatic activities. CHD4 is the catalytic core of the nucleosome remodeling and deacetylase (NuRD) complex
