General description
Reacts with nitric oxide at pH 7.4, resulting in the generation of NO2-/NO3- with a rate constant of 1 x 104 M-1sec-1. Prevents SIN-1 induced endothelial cell death. Has potent therapeutic value in endotoxin shock through its nitric oxide scavenging action.
