General description

One unit of SRM 3108 comprises five 10 mL sealed borosilicate glass ampoules. Each ampoule contains an acidified aqueous solution prepared gravimetrically with a known mass fraction of cadmium. The solution consists of around 0.8% nitric acid at a volume fraction, which is equivalent to an amount of substance concentration of ~1.3 mol/L.

Application

Cadmium (Cd) standard solution SRM is intended for primary use as a calibration standard for quantitative determination of cadmium.

Features and Benefits

  • The certified value of the SRM was determined by calculating the mass fraction values of Cadmium which were obtained through two methods:
  1. Gravimetric preparation.
  2. Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) .
  • The certified value is metrologically traceable to the SI unit of mass fraction, expressed in units of milligrams per gram.
  • The NIST certificate is provided with expiration certificate, storage, handling, use, and maintenance instructions.

Other Notes

Certified for the analytes listed below.
