General description

Polyamine that plays an important role in the regulation of cellular proliferation and differentiation. Acts as an inhibitor of phopholipase C-α and an activator of phopholipase C-δ. Has both stimulatory and inhibitory effects on NMDA receptors depending on the subunit composition of the receptor. Inhibits neuronal NOS. Inhibits DNA fragmentation and morphological apoptosis.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot, purge with inert gas, and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 6 months at -20°C under inert gas.
