Application

Silver bromide (AgBr) is a promising photocatalyst with a narrow bandgap. Three dimensional hydrogels based with AgBr show remarkable antibacterial properties, making it a viable material for photochromic contact lenses Graphene based aerogels as catalysts support for AgBr have also been reported to show high photocatalytic activity, these composites could be used towards photodegradation of organic pollutants and have antibacterial applications
