Description générale

Supel Swift HLB is a co-polymer solid phase extraction (SPE) phase composed of both hydrophilic and lipophilic functional groups. This phase is ideal for extracting a broad range of compounds from aqueous samples, including food and environmental samples, as well as biological samples (eg. serum and plasma). Because of the hydrophilic and lipophilic balanced (HLB) property, the polymer material can selectively retain a wide range of compounds with different polarities and LogP values. Traditional HLB SPE uses a five-step process for sample preparation that normally includes the conditioning of sorbents with an organic solvent followed by an equilibration step to return sorbents to sample loading conditions. The product design allows for direct sample loading onto the sorbent bed, thereby eliminating the conditioning step altogether. This product feature can both save time and simplify sample preparation, which may also serve to reduce sample processing errors.
The 96-well format is perfect for medium to high-throughput laboratories performing large numbers of samples at a time and is also amenable to automation.

Product Data Sheet

Application

  • Simultaneous determination of twelve neonicotinoids and six metabolites in human urine with isotope-dilution UPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS: This study utilizes the Supel Swift HLB SPE 96-Well Plate to develop a method for detecting neonicotinoids and their metabolites in human urine. The high-throughput solid-phase extraction (SPE) combined with ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole Orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry (UPLC-Q-Orbitrap HRMS) showcases the plate′s efficiency in bioanalytical applications (Zhang et al., 2024).

  • Determination of sixteen antibiotics and four β-agonists in human urine samples using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry based on high-throughput automatic solid-phase extraction: This research employs the Supel Swift HLB SPE 96-Well Plate to extract multiple antibiotics and β-agonists from urine samples. The integration of automatic SPE with UPLC-MS/MS enhances the sensitivity and specificity of the method, demonstrating the plate′s application in pharmaceutical and clinical studies (Li et al., 2023).

  • Determination of phenoxyacetic herbicides, metabolites of organophosphorus and pyrethroid pesticides in human urine using solid phase extraction coupled with ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry: This paper highlights the use of the Supel Swift HLB SPE 96-Well Plate for extracting various pesticides and their metabolites from urine samples. The SPE method′s high throughput and efficiency make it ideal for environmental and toxicological studies (Zhang et al., 2023).

  • Application of 96-well plate SPE method for analysis of persistent organic pollutants in low volume blood serum samples: The study applies the Supel Swift HLB SPE 96-Well Plate for analyzing persistent organic pollutants in blood serum. The method′s high sensitivity and low sample volume requirements make it valuable for biomonitoring and environmental health research (Palát et al., 2022).
