Description

General description

Fast Blue RR is part of the azo coupling system and is required for the staining of hydrolytic enzymes. In the presence of naphthol, it results in the formation of an insoluble coloured precipitate at the site of enzyme activity.

Application

Used as a kit component for the determination of alkaline phosphatase in Sigma Kits 85L1 and 85L2 and for the determination of nonspecific esterase in Sigma Kit 90A1.
Fast Blue RR Salt has been used for the staining of alkaline phosphatase activity in cells.
