Description générale

La 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone est un liquide incolore à jaune, d′odeur caractéristique. Son point de fusion est d′environ 13,5 °C et il entre en ébullition à environ 90-92 °C. La VP est complètement miscible dans l′eau et la plupart des solvants organiques, mais partiellement miscible dans les hydrocarbures aliphatiques. La production industrielle de VP en faisant réagir la 2-pyrrolidone avec de l′acétone à hautes pression et température a été signalée. Le processus de vinylation se produit en phase liquide et est catalysé par la 3-pyrrolidone en présence d′hydroxyde de potassium.

Application

La 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone (VP) a été utilisée pour étudier les caractéristiques de macrophotoinitiateur des molécules de type poly(vinylchloride).[1] Elle a également été employée pour évaluer la génotoxicité des nanoparticules d′argent revêtues de polyvinylpyrrolidone.[2]

If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature.
