Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 (FGF-9) also refers as glia activating factor is a glycosylated single polypeptide of 208 amino acids that belongs to heparin-binding growth factors family. It has a crucial role in the proliferation of oligodendrocyte type 2 astrocyte progenitor cells, rat pheochromacytoma cell line PC-12 and Balb/c 3T3 fibroblasts. It mainly expresses in brain and kidney. Monoclonal Anti-Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 antibody can be used for studying the fibroblast growth factors and their properties as well as to compare its expression pattern with physiological functions or pathological conditions. It can also be used in immunoblotting.
Specificity
The antibody reacts specifically with recombinant FGF-9. It does not cross-react with human acidic FGF or basic FGF. Mouse anti-Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 antibody reacts specifically with recombinant FGF-9.
Immunogen
recombinant mouse FGF-9.
Application
Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below. Immunohistochemistry (1 paper)
Monoclonal Anti-Fibroblast Growth Factor-9 antibody can be used in several immunochemical assays like dot blot and ELISA for the localization of FGF-9. It can also be used in microarray.
Physical form
Solution, 0.2 μm filtered, in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4.
