Each unit of SRM 3600 contains a single glassy carbon coupon specimen measuring approximately 10 mm x 10 mm x 1 mm in dimension. For more information, please refer to the SDS and COA. SRM 3600_cert SRM 3600_SDS
Application
This Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended for the scattering intensity calibration of small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) instruments. SAXS measurements characterize the microstructure and nanostructure of heterogeneous material systems: specifically, the size distributions of microscale and nanoscale features and, with scattering intensity calibration, their volume fractions or number concentrations, and their surface areas.
Features and Benefits
NIST certified values for absolute X-ray scattering intensity, are expressed as the X-ray differential scattering cross-section, dΣ/dΩ, per unit sample volume of glassy carbon, with respect to the magnitude of the scattering vector, Q .
Expiration details, instructions for use, storage, and handling are provided on the NIST certificate.
Other Notes
Example analytes are listed below as a reference. Please download a current certificate at nist.gov/SRM for current analytes and certified values.
