Cell Line Description
The antibody is directed against Interleukin 4 (IL-4) but does not inhibit the biological activity of the cytokine. OX-87 is non-competitive with OX-81 (Sigma Catalogue number. 95040518) which also reacts with IL-4 but blocks its activity.

The antibody produced by this cell line can be used in interleukin-4 (IL-4) assays but does not block IL-4 activity.
Culture Medium
RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
Subculture Routine
Maintain cultures between 5x10,000 to 5x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C
