General description

CA9 (Carbonic anhydrase 9) is a single-pass type I membrane protein belonging to the alpha-carbonic anhydrase family. CA9 may be involved in the control of cell proliferation and transformation and appears to be a novel specific biomarker that has been shown to have diagnostic utility in identifying cervical dysplasia and carcinoma. CA9 is primarily expressed in carcinoma cell lines and is found on the surface microvilli and in the nucleus.

Immunogen

Purified recombinant fragment of human CA9 expressed in E. Coli.

Application

Anti-CA9 Antibody, clone 2D3 is a highly specific mouse monoclonal antibody, that targets Carbonic Anhydrase & has been tested in western blotting, IHC & Flow Cytometry.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:200-1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected CA9 in human stomach and colon tissues.

Flow Cytometry Analysis: A 1:200-400 dilution from a representative lot detected CA9 in NTERA-2 cells.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.
