Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid is a diethylenetriaminepentaacetic anhydride, which is a bifunctional chelating agent. It is used for the treatment of poisoning.

Application

Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid has been used:

• for cofilin activity assay
• to determine the specificity of superoxide in the transverse aortic constriction (TAC) hearts
• for Europium bead-based detection assays
• to detect reduced (S^- active) or irreversibly oxidized (SO₃H inactive) tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 6 (SHP-1) in thymocytes
