Gene Information

human ... RPAP3(79657)

General description

RNA polymerase II associated protein 3 (RPAP3) gene encodes an RNA polymerase II-associated protein. The encoded protein may function in transcriptional regulation and may also regulate apoptosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. (provided by RefSeq). The protein consists of tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domain.

Immunogen

RPAP3 (AAH56415.1, 1 a.a. ~ 631 a.a) full-length human protein.

Application

Anti-RPAP3 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting.

Biochem/physiol Actions

RNA polymerase II associated protein 3 (RPAP3) acts as a cell death enhancer. The protein may modulate nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κb) pathway in apoptosis, which is induced by anti-cancer chemotherapeutic agents. It functions as a Monad binding protein. This protein regulates apoptosis and small nucleolar ribonucleoparticule assembly process.

Physical form

Solution in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4
