General description

Boscalid is a fungicide, which belongs to the carboxamide class of fungicides. Its mode of action involves binding to the enzyme succinate dehydrogenase in mitochondria and thus inhibits the fungal respiration.

Application

Boscalid may be used as a reference standard in the determination of boscalid in fruits and vegetable samples using ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS).
