General description
Native thyroglobulin, consisting of two polypeptide monomers of 33 kDa each, purified from human thyroid. This protein is an excellent source of N-linked glycans of various structures, including sialylated core fucose and oligomannose oligosaccharides. Also, Gal-3-SO4 and GalNAc-6-SO4 residues located in a single multi-branched complex type glycan have been reported in calf thymus and human proteins.
Native thyroglobulin, consisting of two polypeptide monomers of 330 kDa each, purified from human thyroid. When subjected to native PAGE this protein shows a band at
~660 kDa, representing the dimeric form, and another band at ~330 kDa, representing the monomeric form.
