General description

Native lactate dehydrogenase from rabbit muscle. Catalyzes the reversible conversion of pyruvate to lactate. The overall equilibrium of this reaction favors lactate formation.

Unit Definition

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will convert 1.0 µmol pyruvate to L-lactate per min in 100 mM phosphate buffer at 30°C, pH 7.0.

Reconstitution

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.
