General description

γ-Tocotrienol is one of the lipid-soluble isomers of the essential micronutrient vitamin E, which shows potent antioxidant activity in lipoproteins and polyunsaturated fatty acids by means of efficient free radical scavenging.

Application

γ-Tocotrienol may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in crops and biological samples by chromatographic techniques.
