Application
LUDOX® TM-40 colloidal silica has been used:
- As a colloidal silica template for the synthesis of carbon nanocapsules.
- In the synthesis of conducting nanocomposite polymer foams (hybrid of carbon black/silica/polymer) used as gas sensors.
- As a silicon source for the synthesis of Zwitterion-stabilized silica nanoparticles.
- As a silicon source for the fabrication of transparent superhydrophilic/superhydrophobic silica nanoparticulate thin films.
- In the synthesis of microporous titanosilicate ETS-10 used as a catalyst in Knoevenagel condensation reaction.
