Application

  • Phosphorylation of Glycoluryl Derivatives: New organoelement phosphorus derivatives synthesized using glycoluril and phosphorus pentachloride under controlled conditions (Salkeeva et al., 2021).

  • Alcohol Amination and Cyclization: Catalyzed alcohol amination of diethanolamine by a Ru-PNP Pincer complex using phosphorus pentachloride to produce piperazine, demonstrating high conversion rates (van der Loo et al.).

  • Chemical Weapons Convention Relevance: Rapid GC-MS screening of chlorides relevant to the Chemical Weapons Convention, including phosphorus pentachloride, for monitoring prohibited chemical activities (Kuitunen et al., 2020).

  • Silicon Nanocrystal Functionalization: Phosphorus pentachloride used for the functionalization of silicon nanocrystals, enhancing their utility in advanced materials applications (Islam et al., 2017).
