Descripción

General description

The gene TOM1L1 (target of myb1 like 1) is mapped to human chromosome 17q23. It contains VHS (Vps27p/Hrs/Stam) and GAT (GGA (Golgi-localizing, γ-adaptin ear domain homology, ADP-ribosylation factor (Arf)-binding protein) and Tom) homology domains at the N terminus and interaction motifs at the C terminus.

Application

Biochem/physiol Actions

TOM1L1 (target of myb1 like 1) is an adaptor protein, which is involved in vesicular trafficking and intracellular signaling. It is a substrate for SRC (non-receptor tyrosine kinase) and negatively controls its mitogenic as well as transforming activity in fibroblasts.
