Ankyrin repeat and SAM domain-containing protein 6 (ANKS6) belongs to the NPHP (nephronophthisis) family. It contains nine amino-terminal ankyrin repeats and a carboxyl-terminal sterile α motif (SAM).

Aplicación

Anti-ANKS6 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry[1] against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. The antibodies are also tested using immunofluorescence and western blotting. Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

Ankyrin repeat and SAM domain-containing protein 6 (ANKS6) helps in the formation of nephronophthisis (NPHP) module which is linked with a kidney disease called nephronophthisis. It interacts with ankyrin repeat and SAM domain-containing protein 3 (ANKS3) and plays an important role in kidney functioning. ANKS6 is also a target and activator of nimA-related kinase 8 (NEK8).[2]
