Información sobre el gen

human ... STK39(27347)

Descripción general

STK39 codes for a serine threonine kinase 39 that is involved in cellular stress response. STK39 has been identified as a susceptibility gene for hypertension.
Rabbit Anti-STK39 antibody recognizes human, mouse, rat, and bovine STK39.

Inmunógeno

Synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human STK39

Aplicación

Rabbit Anti-STK39 antibody is suitable for western blot applications at a concentration of 1μg/ml.

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

STK39 is a serine/threonine kinase that is thought to function in the cellular stress response pathway. The kinase is activated in response to hypotonic stress, leading to phosphorylation of several cation-chloride-coupled cotransporters. The catalytically active kinase specifically activates the p38 MAP kinase pathway, and its interaction with p38 decreases upon cellular stress, suggesting that this kinase may serve as an intermediate in the response to cellular stress. This gene encodes a serine/threonine kinase that is thought to function in the cellular stress response pathway.
